Goodview, Minn. ? Patricia L. Kronebusch, 77, of Goodview died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Lake Winona Manor, Winona.
She was born March 17, 1927, to James and Luella (Anez) Keller in Minneapolis. Pat attended high school at Holy Trinity in Rollingstone, Minn. She graduated from the College of Saint Teresa and received a master's degree from Winona State University.
Pat worked for the Salvatorian Father's Publishing firm in St. Nazianz, Wis., until she married Paul J. Kronebusch. On May 30, 1949, they were married at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone. She was the mother of 12 children, four of whom died in infancy.
She and her husband farmed near Altura for five years and moved to Pat's home farm near Rollingstone, where they lived for the next 37 years. In 1991, the couple moved to Goodview and became members of St. Mary's Parish in Winona.
While in Rollingstone, she taught religion to grades 1-3, and subsequently referred to that experience as one of the best parts of her life. Pat belonged to and served on boards of several civic and business groups, including Birthright, St. Anne's Hospice Board of Directors, Winona Historical Society, Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the State of Minnesota Hospital Auxiliary Association, the State Rheumatoid Arthritis Advisory Board, Golden K Kiwanis, National Federation of Business and Professional Women, Winona State University Foundation Board, and the Executive Committee of 34-A Independent Republicans.
Pat was elected to District 861's school board three times and served in the Minnesota Senate from 1980 through 1986. Pat thoroughly enjoyed Minnesota history and government.
Survivors include her husband, Paul of Lake Winona Manor; children, Paula (Dennis) Trevor of Clinton, Iowa, Anne Kronebusch, Minneapolis, Carol (Kevin) Hubbard of Rochester, Minn., Mary (Mark) Mlynczak of Winona, Barbara Carlson of Houston, Texas, James (Susan) Kronebusch of Rollingstone, Stephanie (Eduardo) Wolle, Northfield, Minn., and Kathleen (Douglas Patnode) of Maple Grove, Minn.; 11 beloved grandchildren; two brothers, James (Mary) Keller of Bloomington, Minn., and Michael Keller of La Crosse, Wis.; two sisters, Mary Krage of Houston, Minn., and Anita (Tim) Hamm of Anaconda, Mont.
Patricia was preceded in death by her four infant children; son-in-law, James Carlson; her parents; and a sister, Carol Joyce.
A Mass of Christian celebration will be held at noon Wednesday, April 7, at
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Winona with the Rev. William Becker, the Rev. Msgr. Roy Literski, the Rev. Martin Shallbetter and Deacon Clarence Shallbetter concelebrating.
A lunch will be served immediately following the funeral Mass, prior to the cemetery committal service at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Rollingstone.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, 1476 W. Broadway, Winona, where there will be a 7 p.m. rosary service and again one hour prior to the noon Mass on Wednesday in the Visitation Commons of St. Mary's Church.
Casket bearers will be her son, James Kronebusch and sons-in-law, Dennis Trevor, Kevin Hubbard, Mark Mlynczak, Eduardo Wolle and Douglas Patnode.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to
St. Anne Extended Healthcare, Community Memorial Hospital or Lake Winona Manor, all of Winona.
