| Note | Fred Mykleby, 67, died Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Oakland Park Nursing Home, Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, September 16, 2002 at the Johnson Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at the Johnson Green Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
Fred Alden Mykleby was born on December 25, 1934 to Fred E. and A. Katheran (Polson) Mykleby. He grew up in Plummer, MN graduating from Pershing High School in Plummer.
He was an owner operator truck driver for the Bekins Truck Lines and a manager at the Allied Truck Lines. He became the transportation director for School District 564 in Thief River Falls until retiring in 1997.
Fred enjoyed football and especially the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed ice fishing and woodworking. He was a member of the Elks Club in Thief River Falls.
Survivors include his significant partner of 17 years Suzie Parnham, Thief River Falls, MN; three sons, Jeff (Jeralyn) Mykleby, Avondale, AZ; Mike (Mitzi), Phoenix, AZ; Kevin (Lisa) Salem, OR; three grandchildren Taylor, Brandon, and Morgan. He is also survived by two sisters Edith (Wally) Etter, Mora, MN; Phyllis (Wilford) Sletten, Thief River Falls, MN.
