Obituary from Bruss Heitner Funeral Home, Wells, Minnesota Vic Bach, age 81, of Minnesota Lake, MN, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, MN. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Minnesota Lake, with the Rosary 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Fr. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Burial will be in St. John The Baptist Cemetery in Minnesota Lake. Vic Bach was born on June 27, 1925 in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota, the son of John and Amelia (Stencel) Bach. He graduated from Minnesota Lake High School in 1944. He married Daisy Van Rossum on November 29, 1950 in Mapleton, Minnesota. He was a life-long resident of the Minnesota Lake area, having graduated from Minnesota Lake High School in 1944. The couple farmed until 1968 when they moved into town. Vic then worked for the Milwaukee Railroad until his retirement. Vic enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards and visiting. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake. Vic is survived by his wife Daisy of Minnesota Lake, MN, 7 children: Mary (Eugene) Sorenson of Minnesota Lake, Shirley (Bruce) Mogk of Alden, MN, David (Linda) Bach of Minnesota Lake, MN, Vicki (Ron) Ankrum of Owatonna, MN, Sue (John) Boyes of Wells, MN, Nancy (Monte) Mowry of Owatonna, MN and Rich (Christy) Bach of Mount Juliet, TN, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Roman and John Bach of Minnesota Lake, MN; and one sister: Joan (Maurice) Van Rossum of Mapleton, MN and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Bea Neubauer and Delores Bach; 2 brothers: Edmond Bach and Remigius Bach; 1 grandson: Joe Ferstl and 1 granddaughter.
