Obituary, Bruss Heitner Funeral Home, Wells, MN Lois Ann (Pitcher) Giese, age 66, of Wells, MN, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at her home in Wells, MN, from complications of Emphysema. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN, with a Rosary at 9:30 AM. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Father Eugene Stenzel will officiate and burial will be in St. Casimir Cemetery in Wells, MN. Lois Ann Giese was born July 10, 1941, the daughter of Lester and Colette (Stencel) Pitcher in Wells, MN. She married Donald Giese on September 15th, 1960 and had only one child, Sharon, in 1961. She loved spending time with her 3 grandchildren and her dog, Poopsie. Lois worked as a bartender at the Liquor Store in Bricelyn which was later called the Keg, from 1976-1984. She also worked at Banquet Foods, later Swift Eckrich, for many years and did babysitting in between. For many years she enjoyed fishing, camping, and being outdoors. She also enjoyed word find and crossword puzzles. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. Lois is survived by her husband Donald of Wells, one daughter, Sharon Clay and her husband Darin of Wells, MN; Grandchildren: Zachary, Ethan, and Savannah; mother: Colette Pitcher of Wells, MN; 8 brothers and sisters: Lloyd (wife Mary) Bratsch of Portage, WI, Quentin (wife Donna) Stenzel of Wells, MN, Cathleen Quam (special friend Lonnie Erickson) of Rake, IA, Joseph (wife Hilda) Pitcher of Burlington, KY, Michael (wife Diane) Henning of Bricelyn, MN, James (wife Cheryl) Pitcher of Wells, MN, Gerald (wife Trudy) Pitcher of Wells, Barbara Albers (special friend Dennis Redman) of Alden, MN; Brothers and sisters-in-law: Howard (wife Janet) Giese of Glencoe, MN, Duane (wife Gloria) Wigern of Biscay, MN, Delores Mulcahy of Waseca, MN, JoAnn Giese of Wells, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
