Obituary from Bruss Heitner Funeral Home, Wells, Faribault, Minnesota, USA Martin Lawrence Woitas, age 81, of Minnesota Lake, Minnesota died Monday, September 28, 2009 at his home in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM following the visitation. Father Eugene Stenzel will officiate and burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. Military Honors provided by the Minnesota Lake American Legion. Martin Lawrence Woitas was born December 26, 1927, the son of Watzef and Regina (Evan) Woitas in Danville Township, Minnesota. Martin was in the US Army April 1946-October 1947 and was stationed in Seward, Alaska. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping and reading. Martin is survived by his sister: RoseMary Leesch of Minnesota Lake, Minnesota; brothers: John (Katie) Woitas of Minnesota Lake, Minnesota Gregory (MaryAnn) Woitas of Spearfish, South Dakota, George (Ellie) Woitas of Minnesota Lake, Minnesota Laurence (Jan) Woitas of Mankato, Blue Earth, Minnesota Michael (Ruth) Woitas of Mankato, Blue Earth, Minnesota Raymond (Edie) Woitas of Albert Lea, Freeborn, Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law: Harlan Leesch; sister-in-law Marcie Woitas; nephew: Robert Leesch and niece: Nancy Robling.
