The Stenzel Family

Patricia Stenzel, age 73, of Wells, MN died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home, after a long battle with colon cancer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017, at 10:30 AM, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN, with Pr. Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family. Patricia was born September 18, 1943 in Princeton, Missouri, the daughter of Harvey and Evelyn "Evie" (Schultz) McLain. Pat married Kenny Stenzel in Las Vegas, NV on March 21, 1992. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In her earlier years, Pat enjoyed bowling and playing softball. She also enjoyed playing Bean Bags, Bocce Ball, horseshoes and fishing. Her garden and flowers were a source of great joy for her. Pat was a lifelong resident of Wells, MN, having worked as a resident nurse's aide for many years at Parkview Care Center in Wells. She retired in 2009. She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey McLain, numerous aunts and uncles, brothers-in-law: Jake, Bob and David and sister-in-law, Joanne. Patricia is survived by her husband Kenny, and mother, Evie McLain, sons: Lenny Kauffmann, all of Wells; Mike (Becky) Stenzel of Austin; 7 grandchildren: Jordan (Melinda) Bruegger of South Dakota, Kristy (Mike) Koprowicz of Cannon Falls, MN, Josh (Mercedes) Kauffmann of Cannon Falls, MN, Karl Kauffmann of Mankato, MN, Lilly, Landyn and Laythan Stenzel of Austin; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Linda (Ron) Niebuhr of Wells, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families; 1 aunt: Millie Sailor of Wells and many cousins.
