Nicholas, age 26 and Margaret EAGAN age 18, of Errin Township , Macomb County. There is an announcement of the 50th Wedding Anniversary which also sta tes the marriage took place in 1858. | Shared note | Paul KEMP reported that Margaret immigrated about 1849 with two or thre e sisters. They worked to pay for their parents to come over. All Censu s data points to her birth in Michigan. The 1910 Census is the only one t hat indicates Ireland. The 1900 Federal Soundex for Michigan (W-420) saw Margaret and Nicholas l iving at 1800 Gratiot Ave in Detroit. Vol 85, Enumeration District 175 , Sheet 1, Line 57 (Writing was very difficult to read). Margaret's ag e was listed as 57 with her birth in March of 1843. Most Census records i ndicate a birth date about 1840. |
