Immigrated (?) There is a Nicholas WALCH buried at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Rollingsto ne, MN. According to some family members He was known as "Little Nick" b ut no one remembers much about him. There is a Nicholas WALCH listed in the 1900 Census with Clara (KEMP) W ALCH and family. Age was given as 26 (b. May 1874) Relationship: neph ew and he is listed as alien immigrating in 1891. The relationship wou ld be right if this Nick is the son of Mathias and Catherine FRISCH. There was a Nic WALCH and a Julius WALCH who came to America in 1896 ac cording to Ellis Island records. Jules probably came to America with hi s brother Nicolas in 1896 aboard the "Friesland". They arrived on in Ne w York on 8 April 1896 from Antwerp Nicholas WALCH bought land in Mansfield Twp, Barnes County, ND in 1905. H e is listed in Mansfield Twp in the 1910 Federal Census. Living with th e family was Nicholas' brother, Jules.
