PLAINVIEW -- The funeral Mass for Josie M. Ellinghuysen will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Plainview, with the Rev. Donald Connelly officiating. Burial will be in St. Joachim's Catholic Cemetery. Josie Marie Ellinghuysen, 19, died of natural causes Wednesday (Nov. 14, 2007) at her home in rural Plainview. She was born May 20, 1988, in Rochester. She grew up in rural Plainview and graduated in 2007 from Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School. She was currently attending Rochester Community & Technical College and was employed by JCPenney Co. in Rochester. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, Student-Aid, hunting with her dad, scrap-booking, tutoring, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also a NASCAR fan. She is survived by her parents, Brian and Stephanie (Dittrich) Ellinghuysen of Theilman; a sister, Amanda Ellinghuysen (Nathan Tlougan) of Kellogg; her maternal grandparents, John and Pat Dittrich of Kellogg; and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Bernadine Ellinghuysen of Plainview. Other survivors include a niece, Gabriella Tlougan of Kellogg. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Schleicher Funeral Home, Plainview Chapel, and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
