Shared Note: - Obituary, Bruss Heitner Funeral Home, Wells, MNLeRoy B. Stenzel, age 76, of New Richland, MN, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at his home near Matawan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Father Peter Klein will officiate and burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Waldorf, MN. LeRoy Stenzel was born January 3, 1934 at home in Dunbar Township, Faribault County, MN, the son of Peter and Helen (Kukuczka) Stenzel. On November 17, 1959 he was united in marriage to Marilyn A. Sailor at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN. They resided on a farm in Byron Township where they raised their family and maintained a very happy 50 years of marriage. LeRoy was a long time farmer, owner of a tiling and excavating business, and owned Matawan Grain and Feed for 36 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Laymans Retreat League. LeRoys faith was a very important part of his life. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren and friends. Hobbies included fishing, playing cards, gardening and spending time outdoors. LeRoy is survived by his wife Marilyn; 1 daughter, Barbara (Douglas) Redman of Wells; 4 sons: Bradley Stenzel, Curtis (Rebecca) Stenzel, Douglas (Amy) Stenzel, Jerome (Diane) Stenzel, all of New Richland; 13 grandchildren: Crystal, Amanda, Eric, Zachary, Luke, Christopher, Hailey, Robert, Clay, Aspyn, Ciara, Ryan and Jessica. He is also survived by his siblings: Stanley Stenzel of Wells; Emil & Lois Stenzel of Wells; Victor Stenzel of Owatonna; Marvin & Joyce Stenzel of Wells; Therese McCue of Delavan; Dennis & Laura Stenzel of Wells; Virginia Deyle of Owatonna; and many nieces, nephews and their families. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Helen (Kukuczka) Stenzel; his infant brother David Stenzel, sister-in-laws Kathy Stenzel and Dorothy Stenzel.
