Event -- October 1620 ‎(Age 27)‎ NEAR DEATH experience came during a storm while on the ship"MAYFLOWER". He fell overboard: Desperately thinking of his survival, he managed to grab ahold of the top sail halyard ‎( rope )‎, giving the crew enough time to rescue him with a boathook./Atlantic Ocean
